The Newman's Own Organics Foods are made with the highest quality of available organic ingredients. The Second Generation, foods were created by Nell Newman daughter of Paul Newman. Newman's Own Organics was established as a division of Newman's Own in 1993 with Partner Peter Meehan, and became a separate company in late 2001. The products have a photo of an amusing Gothic, "Pa" Newman and daughter Nell.
Organic is defined as agriculture a holistic system with the primary goal of optimizing the health and productivity of interdependent communities of soil life, plants, animals, and people. Management practices are carefully selected with an intent to restore and then maintain ecological harmony on the farm, its surrounding environment and ultimately the whole planetary ecosystem.
When I sampled the Newman's Own Organic Foods I was extremely impressed with the quality and taste. The USDA Organic Seal assures that at least 95% of the ingredients are organically certified. The Rainforest Alliance Certified seal guarantees that the cocoa used in our Signature Series was grown on farms that meet comprehensive standards for sustainable farming, protecting soil, waterways and wildlife habitat as well as the rights and welfare of workers, their families and communities. Newman pays above and beyond the market price for organic cocoa. Newman's own organic products are certified by the Oregon Tilth. Ingredients have been grown on farms that have not used artificial fertilizers or pesticides for three years or more. The farms and processors have been certified by and independent third party. Newman's has Kosher
certification by Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America.
When I first tasted Newman's Own Organics I realized that the taste was very good in some of the products I would call the taste sensational. Take for example the Ginger Snap Cookies they have and over abundance of candied ginger flavor with a sensational taste. The Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies are great tasting cookies simply unique in flavor, the orange taste and aroma makes the cookie stand out from the other chocolate chip cookies. There is no comparison to any other foods with these Newman's Own Organics, they are the most flavor filled foods.
The Newman's Own Organics have candies and chocolate candies that are delectable, delicious and sweet. The Licorice is like no other Licorice I have ever tasted and comes in four new sour flavors.
Newman's Own Organics invented the first Sour Licorice made with organic ingredients. What I noticed that I liked best in the Sour Strawberry Licorice Twist was a wonderful sour fruit taste that was coated with organic sugar. The more Sour Strawberry Licorice that I ate I loved it more and more. The organic sugars seemed to me to taste better than ordinary sugars and made me enjoy the food more.
The Newman's Own Organic Chocolate is soft creamy and delicious. The Chocolate used in Newman's Own Organics is carefully selected using the best organic cocoa beans for a richer flavor. In the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, I noticed that the flavor is fabulous and just out of this world, I was very impressed. The Milk Chocolate Caramel Cups are soft caramel sweet and extremely good. In the Espresso Dark Chocolate Bar I noticed a slight crunch of ground espresso the taste of this bar is extremely good and sweet with no comparison to any other chocolate espresso bar.
The Newman's Own Organics have lots of different food products that stand above other organic foods. Take for instance the wonderful Fig Newman's its a soft fruit filled cookie that's extremely delicious I would say award winning in sweet flavor texture and aroma. The Hermits are exploding with organic molasses and raisin flavor very soft, with spicy mild ginger and heavy molasses. I would consider the Newman's Vanilla Cookie to be the best organic vanilla cookie I have ever had. The vanilla cookie has superior vanilla flavor and aroma.
